The Clark University Delegation visited Hefei University of Technology during April 12 to April 13. Altogether five people – William Fisher, Associate Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies, Catherine Usoff, Dean of the Graduate School of Management, Amy Gardner, Associate Dean for international programs at Clark's School of Professional Studies, Li Boqing, Director of Clark U China Programme, and Dr. Thomas P. Massey, former Dean for international programs at Clark's School of Professional Studies – were in the delegation.

HFUT President Liang Liang received the delegation on April 12. He conveyed his welcome to the delegation and placed high hopes on the cooperation on GIS program under negotiation. HFUT will vigorously support the ongoing cooperative education program between Clark University and the School of Economics, and extend the cooperation to spheres of faculty cultivation and R&D.

Vice President Hang also met the delegation that afternoon. He highly rated the progress made by both universities in the cooperative program and looked forward to deepening the cooperation in the future.

HFUT is an important partner of Clark University and we place a great priority on our cooperation. With more exchanges, we wish to see a higher level of our cooperation in the future, said William Fisher.

The School of Resources and Environmental Engineering and International Affairs Department held a discussion with the delegation on the “2+2” Program for GIS undergraduate program. They reached consensus on issues like training mode, credit transfer, admission requirements and time arrangements, all of which were included in the memorandum of the meeting.

On April 13, the delegation and the School of Economics consulted on the issues such as teaching arrangements, faculty dispatch and English training for the ongoing cooperation program and deliberated on the potential “3+1+1” cooperative postgraduate program as well. The delegation also met the students currently studying under the program and answered their questions.
