Lecturer introduce:Chao Wang, graduated from Nanjing University in 2007, and graduated from the Institute of mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012. After that, he went to Paris seventh University in France to do one-year postdoctoral research, and then returned to Peking University to do two years postdoctoral work. In 2015, he joined Peking University School of mathematics and is now a researcher of Peking University mathematics.Chao Wangis engaged in the research of hydrodynamics equations. He has published many papers in ARMA, jmpa, adv. math and other magazines.

Description:In this talk, I talk about the zero-viscosity limit of the Navier-Stokes equations in a half space and thin domain with non-slip boundary condition. For the half space case, based on the vorticity formulation and the use of conormal derivative, we develop the energy method to justify the zero-viscosity limit for the analytic data. For thin domain case, we justify the limit when the initial data is convex and belongs to the Gevrey class when the index equals 8/9.
