School of Management

School of Management of Hefei University of Technology was founded in 1979. Its predecessor was the Department of Management Engineering. With more than 30 years of development, the school has made great achievements in discipline development, personnel training, scientific research and teaching staff recruitment. Under the guidance of Professor Yang Shanlin, the school strives to advance management knowledge at the forefront of innovation for education in China.

School of Management offers 6 undergraduate programs, including Information Management and Information System, E-commerce, Logistics Engineering and Management, Business Administration, Accounting and Marketing. It offers doctorates in Management Science and Engineering and Business Administration and has post-doctoral research stations in the two majors.

The school is rich in expertise and resources. School of Civil Engineering has a strong faculty consisting of both distinguished senior scholars and a large number of young academic leaders. The school has 112 full-time faculty members, including 23 professors, 47 associate professors. 69 of them received doctorate degrees. The school has 1,936 undergraduate students, 1,350 postgraduate students and 150 doctoral candidates.

The school is committed to high academic standards. Our faculty is a truly excellent group, known for their special insights into China’s rapidly changing economy and complex business ecosystem. They are active in research, applying internationally cutting-edge methodology to tackle economic and management issues on both a local and global scale. Combining international perspectives with local knowledge, our faculty has made great achievements in academic fields.

The school has established stable academic partnerships with many prestigious universities from all over the world, including University of Manchester, Xi'an Jiaotong University, University of Pittsburgh, Tsinghua University, Dalian University of Technology and so on. The school has recruited many prominent scholars in these universities to be adjunct professors and guest professors.

The school utilizes resources in and outside the university to build a platform to enable students to analyze, execute, and lead in their future management careers. It strives not only to impart students with basic skills and knowledge related to management, but also to instill in them creativity and responsibility to make contributions to the world’s development.
