CHEN Honghai - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee

Working Experience:
CHEN Honghai studied at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the former Anhui Institute of Technology majoring in tractor design from September 1981 to July 1985, and obtained his Bachelor's Degree in engineering. From July 1985 to December 1988, he served as a clerk for the Office of Scientific Research of the former Anhui Institute of Technology. From December 1988 onwards, he began to work in the Office ofthe President of the former Anhui Institute of Technology (Foreign Affairs Office), successively holding the posts of Deputy-Section-Chief LevelSecretary (December 1988-May 1991), Section-Chief Level Secretary (May 1991-September 1994), and Deputy Director (September 1994-July 1997), during which he pursued on-the-job postgraduate studies at the Department of Mechanical Engineering in Zhejiang University from September 1992 to December 1996 and obtained his Master’s Degree in mechanical engineering). From July 1997 to December 2008, he served as Director of the Office of the Party Committee of Hefei University of Technology (during which he was appointed as Member of the 6th Party Committee of Hefei University of Technology from March 2003 to July 2008, and was enrolled in the 25th training class for young leaders at National Academy of Education Administration from March 2006 to June 2006). After that, CHEN served as Director of the Division ofDevelopment and Planning of Hefei University of Technology from December 2008 to March 2011 (and he has been Member of the 7th Party Committee since July 2008). From March 2011 to November 2013, he was appointed as Deputy Secretary-General of the Division of Administrative Affairs of Hefei University of Technology. From November 2013 to October 2015, he was then appointed as Deputy Secretary-General of the Division of Administrative Affairs of Hefei University of Technology and Director of Integrated Office of the Emerald Lake Campus concurrently (during which he pursued his on-the-job doctoral studies at School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering of Hefei University of Technology, and obtained his Doctoral Degree in industry engineering from September 2009 to December 2015). From October 2015 to June 2017, CHEN served as Head of the Division Administrative Affairs and also Director of the Party and Administrative Office of the DivisionAdministrative Affairs. In June 2017, he was appointed as Member of the Party Standing Committee, and Vice President of Hefei University of Technology. In December 2019, he served as Member of the Standing Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Hefei University of Technology.
