The national final of the 5^th China College Students' 'Interne Plus' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held at Zhejiang University from October 12 to October 15. HFUT teams won 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals.

With the theme of "Be a Pioneer and Let Your Dream Fly, Take a Lead and Strive for a New Era", this year’s competition attracted more than 109,000 entries with 4.57 million college students from over 124 countries and regions to sign up. After fierce contest, the final turned out altogether 70 gold medals and 140 silvers for the main track.

HFUT team "Deyi Medical Intelligence - leader in human-robot collaborative mobile minimally invasive surgery system" from the School of Management participated in the gold medal match of the innovative idea group of the main track and finally won the silver medal. The teams of "Yi·Smart Braceletsign - language translation system" from the School of Mathematics, "Food Detective - food quality monitoring solution" from the School of Food and Biological Engineering, and "Advanced Sewage Treatment - new fenton-like catalyst and reactor" from the School of Resource and Environmental Engineering won bronze medals of the competition.

China College Students' 'Internet Plus' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was first held in 2015. It is a major event for innovation and entrepreneurship jointly hosted by 12 central ministries and local people’s governments at the provincial level, including the Ministry of Education. It is so far an event of the highest level in its class with the broadest participation in China. The competition aims to stimulate university graduates' enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship, to exchange and share resources related to innovation and entrepreneurship and build a cooperation platform for university graduates to solve global challenges.
