HFUT Academician Yang Shanlin was elected as the First Convener of the 7th Disciplinary Appraisal Panel of Management Science and Technology, Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council (ADCSC), according to the name list released by the committee of the State Council recently.

The Disciplinary Appraisal Panel is an academic organization under the ADCSC in charge of counseling, research, supervision and verification of degree conferral and postgraduate education.

Members of the panel are selected from the candidates recommended by universities in China, normally the renowned scholars who have great reputation for academics, rich experience in advising PHDs and extraordinary achievement in teaching and scientific researches. They are appointed by ADCSC with a term of five years.
