IDEA-KING, the highest award in the landscape planning and design field, is open to educational institutes and research institutes in this field globally. The 2015 IDEA-KING attracted 8,600 entries submitted by undergraduate and graduate students from hundreds of universities at home and abroad. The contest was jointly sponsored by International Landscape Design Industry Association(ILIA), China Construction News, and Beijing Forestry University Education Foundation.
The theme of 2015 IDEA-KING was “Sustainable Landscape”. The prize-winning work of HFUT covered multiple dimensions of design such as urban public green area, urban three-dimensional green design, and landscape renovation in urban parks, old industrial districts and ancient villages in Southern Anhui. This is another honor for the School of Architecture and Arts after the Urban-Rural Planning and Architecture disciplines achieved high scores in the review conducted by the corresponding national steering committees.
