Two works by HFUT professors won the 7th Excellent Research Achievement Award in Humanities and Social Sciences, according to the notice released by Chinese Ministry of Education.

The awards went to Professor Yang Shanlin from School of Management and Associate Professor Qian Bin from School of Marxism. Professor Yang’s Optimization Theories and Methods in Manufacturing Engineering Management won the Second Prize in Management, and Professor Qian’s A Look on “Mengxi Bitan” won the Award for Achievement Promotion. This marks the first time for HFUT to win the Achievement Award in Humanities and Social Sciences.

A total of 50 First Prizes, 251 Second Prizes, 596 Third Prizes and 11 Awards for Achievement Promotion were released this time after panel review, public review and committee review on 6,241 applications.

The Award is a top-level and the most influential one in the field of humanities and social sciences in China. It is aimed at promoting excellent works, such as monographs, research papers and reports that are of great contribution to Chinese economy and society.
