Tianrui Concept 1 – electric car jointly developed by Clean Energy Automotive Research Institute, HFUT and Shanghai Fo Dragon Automotive Technology Co. Ltd. was displayed on the 16th International Automobile and Manufacturing Technology Exhibition (Automobile Shanghai).

Tianrui Concept 1, hailed as Hefei Telsa, was indeed an eye-grabber at the exhibition. With the maximum speed of 140 km/h, the car is powered by 28kwh lithium-ion batteries and only weights 800 kg due to the overall lightweight design, ensuring a driving range of over 280 km. “Intelligence, fashion, environmentally friendly and fun for driving” are the ideas behind the design.

The Clean Energy Automotive Research Institute and Fo Dragon would continue their researches and conduct optimization, testing, verification and safety test of the car so that it would be put into the market.

The idea of Tianrui Concept 1 was born in early 2014. After rounds of design in Hefei Chaohu Economic Development Zone, the prototype marked its debut on the Hefei International New Energy Vehicles Exhibition in September 2014. Its appearance on the Shanghai Automobile this time was proved to be another smash success, attracting cooperation from many suppliers and sales agents.
