HFUT men’s team clinches the champion in the 20th Asia Pacific Bridge Championship in Bangkok, Thailand. Teams from countries and regions such as China, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and the Host Country Thailand attended the championship.

In the first two days of the championship, HFUT men’s team once fell to the 7th place as the member were unaccustomed to the food there. The six team members soon rallied up themselves and managed to close up to 2VP at the end of the first round, next to the Austrian team. In the second round, the HFUT team turned the game around and reined in the whole match. It is the first time that China reclaims the RAYMOND Cup after 16 years. Our two members Tang Zhi and Tao Yong also won the champion of the Doubles in Swiss Teams at the Championship.

The championship also serves as the preliminary to the World Bridge Championship 2016. HFUT team will represent China to compete in the world championship.
