A national meeting on traditional architectural style and elements (Anhui Province) was held at the Feicuihu Campus of HFUT. Over 20 representatives from Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, design and research institutes and related universities attended the meeting.

School of Architecture and Arts of HFUT delivered a progress report on “Survey of Traditional Architectural Styles and Elements in Anhui” during the meeting. The experts and the survey group from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development spoke highly of the progress and offered suggestions and guidance to the project after discussing relevant compilation of reports.

The project by School of Architecture and Arts is of great significance to facilitating the heritance of local traditional architecture in Anhui Province.

The meeting is in line with the requirement of launching surveys on Chinese traditional folk residence in the No.1 Central Document of 2015. Anhui is one of the ten provinces that conduct the first batch of these surveys. The School of Architecture and Arts is responsible for the implementation of the survey in cooperation with universities and research institutes in Anhui under the guidance of Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
