On the eve of the World Reading Day on April 23rd, the university library and HFUT publishing house announced the ranking of “the most avid readers” in 2014 according to the lending figures on the HFUT books management system.

At the top of the ranking is Undergraduate Guo Zhifeng from School of Management. Undergraduate Jin Yong from School of Civil Engineering and Zhou Dongmei, a teacher from School of College of Continuing Education came in second and third.

The ranking of “the most avid readers” is rolled out by the library and the publishing house in recent couple of years to encourage a love of reading in students and faculties.

As Premier Li Keqiang said in the press conference during the National People Congress, “Books and reading have been essential in carrying forward human civilizations. I hope that all our people can foster a love of reading.”, the library would like to make full use of its abundant collections of books to create “a love of reading” on campus.
