Works by HFUT students swept the top three places in the Third Cross-Strait Architecture Exchange Workshop held in Taiwan.
The workshop was appraised by Taiwan architecture master C.Y. Lee together with a host of panelists including Deputy President and Chief Architect of China Architecture Design & Research Group, Zhu Wenyi, Dean of School of Architecture, Tsinghua University, and famous architect Huang Shengyuan from Taiwan through on-spot graphic evaluation and formal argumentation.
Competitor from 8 universities from mainland like South China University of Technology, Hunan University and Zhejiang University as well as 8 universities from Taiwan including Tamkang University, National Cheng Kung University and Feng Chia University, all renowned in architecture, formed mixed-up teams to look into building communities along the Tamkang river from a brand new angle.
After review,Trees in the Sunset,MEET POSSIBILITY FREE LOVEandMapping Happinessby students Yang Shen, Zhou Qian and Song Yangyang respectively claimed the first three places, making HFUT the biggest winner in the workshop.
Organized by Tamkang University under the sponsorship of International Chinese Architecture Association and Architectural Society of China, the Cross-Strait Architecture Exchange Workshop aims to deepen the influence of cross-straits academic exchanges by means of direct communication in architectural designs. Profess Li Zao from HFUT delivered a report on “Scientific Investigation and Analysis Methods in Architectural Design” during the workshop.
