The reception for foreign experts to mark the 65th anniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on September 28. Professor Reinhart D. Kühne attended the reception at the invitation of SAFEA (State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs).

Mr. Liu Yunshan, member of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and of the Secretariat of the Central Committee extended greetings and gratitude to foreign experts and friends for their support in the China’s reform.

Reinhart D. Kühne works as a Distinguished Visiting Professor and PhD advisor in HFUT. Enlisted as a member of the “High-end Foreign Expert Program” and “1000 Talent Plan” in 2012, he organized the HFUT 1000 Talent Team on Transportation Environment and Energy. He has been lecturing core lessons for graduate students from School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering for years and engaged in the application of various vertical subjects as a leading researcher.

A long-time dedicator in China-Germany transportation studies and education as he is, Professor Kühne had been in charge of many German national projects, China-Germany international transportation projects during his post as the director of Institute of Transport System of German Aerospace Center. He was conferred with the “Friendship Award” by both Chinese and Anhui Provincial Government.
