HFUT representative team HfutEngine scored the 7th place in the 3D simulation league and 12th place in the 2D simulation league at the robot soccer final of RoboCup 2014 held in João Pessoa,Brazilfrom July 19 to July 25.

As the world cup for robots, RoboCup 2014 drew nearly 2,000 participates of 460 plus teams from 40 countries and regions including the United States, Japan, Germany, Britain, China, Australia, Romania and Brazil. The 3D simulation league and the 2D simulation league are among the most competitive events in RoboCup.

HfutEngine was led by Professor Zhou Guoxiang and Professor Fang Baofu with students from School of Computer and Information, School of Software and Department of Information Engineering of Xuancheng Campus. It is also reported that Professor Fang is elected as OC chair for 3D simulation league of RoboCup 2015.
